Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or continuing to use GlucoScan, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

GlucoScan is informational, not medical

GlucoScan is an informational tool. It is not a medical device, it is not approved or cleared by any regulator, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult your doctor or diabetes care team before making any change to your insulin dosing, monitoring frequency, or treatment plan.

No warranty on accuracy

Glucose readings, carbohydrate estimates, insulin-dose suggestions, insights, and reports produced by GlucoScan may be inaccurate. GlucoScan is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlucoScan and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including — without limitation — any harm resulting from acting on a glucose reading, carbohydrate estimate, or insulin-dose suggestion generated by the app.

You are solely responsible for any medical decisions you make, including insulin administration, based on information from or about GlucoScan.

Your account and your data

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the accuracy of the data you enter (such as carb ratios, sensitivity factors, and target glucose). Outdated or incorrect settings can produce unsafe insulin-dose suggestions — review and update your settings whenever your prescription changes.

Acceptable use

You may not use GlucoScan to harm others, to attempt to access data belonging to other users, to overload or disrupt our services, or for any unlawful purpose. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app without written permission.

Subscriptions and founding-member status

Some features are gated behind a paid plan. Founding members (the first 5,000 GlucoScan users) receive paid-tier access at no cost for the lifetime of their account. We may change pricing, plan features, or availability in the future; any change to the founding-member promise will not reduce access already granted to founding members.

Billing, refunds and cancellations

Paid plans are billed by the period you select (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. Store-platform rules (Apple App Store / Google Play) and our payment processor's terms also apply to subscriptions purchased on-device.

Termination

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile page. We may suspend or terminate access to GlucoScan if you violate these Terms or for any other reason consistent with applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
